Yes, it's true--I'm writing Quick Hints! When I got back from Arizona, I had a big stack of magazine subscriptions waiting for me to read. I also had many messages that this would be the last issue of several of my favorites--Mary Emmerling, Country Home, Cottage Living, and Country Living are all gone--I am heartbroken.
Here are the best things that I tore out of the magazines I got:
Put your duvets (down comforters) in the dryer on high once in awhile. It kills the dust mites.
Handmedowns.com is a website of gently used baby items (in case you know of a new baby coming).
Citrus Salad--combine citrus like tangerines, grapefruits, oranges with pineapple chunks, sprinkle with toasted coconut, pecans, fresh mint, and drizzle with lime juice and honey.
Flowers that are cold tolerant for early spring pots--stock, dianthus, kale, pansy, primrose.
Brown Sugar Body Polish--1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup white sugar, 3/4 cup almond oil, 2 teaspoons each of cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg, 40 drops of cardamom essential oil.
