Still Shakin'

The Mogul Flume was built in the 1800's and a rock slide took out a 100 ft section on April 25th. There is a rumor going around that a volcano is under Mogul, but seismologists deny the possibility. What is so unusual, besides the massive number of earthquakes, is the shallowness. They are very close to the surface, which gives us a good jolt every time. Average earthquakes are about 12km under the surface, whereas the majority of these are at 0.0. They have no explanation for this. The UNR seismologists will hold a news conference today to discuss what's been happening here. A 4.2 woke us up at 4:30, but we didn't even bother to get out of bed. Sorry to keep bringing it up, but it's not often you are ground central for a major news story.

Cathy, you seem so calm. The epicenter is a bit too close for my comfort. Stay safe. Love ya all.

You know, I am calm. I take the little ones in stride and accept that there is nothing I can do IF we get "the big one." Just ride it out and pick up the pieces afterwards. Being terrified really doesn't help the situation at all.
