Green Tuesday Quick Hints

Macro—chances are that your camera can take photos like this one. You have a little flower icon somewhere that means macro or close up shots. All you have to do is to physically move the whole camera, not the zoom lens as close as you want to the subject. And I mean inches. It will blur out the background and focus real tight on the subject. Give it a go.

Apple slicer—this is one gadget that I use quite often. It cores and slices apples or other fruit into perfect sections quickly.

Chicken with Bacon—from Nigella Express (modified Cathy-style) Cook 2 pieces of bacon per chicken breast in a little olive oil in a frying pan. Remove bacon, save, and crumble. Cook thin pieces of chicken breast in the pan grease (about 2 minutes per side). Remove chicken, keep warm. Pour 1/3 cup of dry white wine in pan and stir up the brown bits, add the bacon crumbles back in. Pour this sauce over the chicken. Viola—dinner!
