Last night we drove out to this delightful secluded beach with a lighthouse to walk and watch the sunset. The wind was blowing causing the sea to chop and churn. The sun was a dazzling glare off the water. It was lovely and dramatic and totally awful for picture taking. Sometimes the camera just can’t deal with that much.

So we left there in a hurry to get to the Bay of Dreams, which is a charming little cove with anchored sailboats and imposing mountains surrounding it. Instead of the beautiful sunset we were expecting, everything turned gray. We went to this great restaurant, The Giggling Marlin, under a grand palapa. We had a wonderful table against the water, drank margaritas, ate a delicious dinner with entertaining conversation among friends. Eddie was getting anxious because we had come to see the colors and I wasn’t getting any pictures. But life isn’t about taking pictures, it’s about having wonderful experiences. If you get photos along the way, it’s a bonus.
