Leaving here is hard when you know that you are returning to deep snow and cold. I just want a final walk along the beach and I'll be satisfied that this was a good trip all round.
We are unsure of how our day will play out. Our flight leaves at 2:30, stops in LA, and arrives Reno at 11:30PM. The weather in Reno is supposed to be very bad tonight. Will they even let us land? Also, Brad's father is in the hospital in Sacramento. Should we switch flights in LA and go directly there? That would eliminate driving back over the summit in a snowstorm and we would be there sooner.
Life is uncertain. We do the best we can with what we're given.
