I ran across this idea for displaying photos, which I am going to use in my study. Just cut a votive candle tin along two opposite edges and fold in half.
As a fan of Real Simple's new uses for old things column, I'm on the lookout for interesting variations. This German website is a kick: Atelier.com. I can't understand the directions, but the photos are very instructive. I especially loved #2, using old cd jewel cases as plant protectors. I cracked up at #11, a plastic glove (hopefully new) as a bottle topper. And the belly "schmucker" definitely needs to become the newest style for American teens.
