Evacuated!
One of the reasons we love to come to the Northern California coast is the awesome winter weather. You don't know if it's going to be brilliantly sunny and mild, or wildly stormy. This time we got wildly stormy. That's okay, because it's great to snuggle while the wind howls and the waves pound. Unfortunately, that Pacific Northwest storm affecting the ocean, along with high tides, brought a ranger knocking at our door. He said the park will probably be flooded tonight, so we had to leave. We choose to just move into the upper parking lot, so we are up on a cliff now, overlooking the beach. We will be able to watch from here, but be safe and tomorrow we should be able to move back down to sea level.
